Jubilee Weekend

And so, it is today that the extended, weekend-long Queen's Jubilee celebrations begin. From the 2nd of June through to the 5th, celebrations will be taking place up and down the country!

Today, the Queen shall be attending Epsom Derby to ...watch the races; Sunday see communities come together for 'The Big Lunch' as well as the grand Jubilee pagent along the River Thames; Monday, the Jubilee beacons shall be lit, and a huge concert shall take place at Buckingham Palace organised by the BBC and finally Tuesday will involve a service of thanksgivingat St.Paul's cathedral plus a spectacular carriage procession from Westminster to the Palace - PHEW!!! (One might want a rest after all those shenanigans)

On Monday the 4th June, I'm off to a very English picnic in the park, and a small town's very own riverside pagent, finding out what makes the people of Essex proud to be British!!
