Pain Princess

When it comes to training clients, its really this simple - you need to get that work hard, play hard balance right!

Now, we've all seen it - the PT who sits down, arms crossed, head buried in phone and they barely speak unless it's to pass over a weight! As a particular client of mine likes to say - Awwkwarrrd!

I, on the other hand take a different approach. Those rest periods are for some serious and decent laughs! The majority of my clients come to me for two reasons a) they have no idea what they are doing or b) they hate gyms and need motivation.

What's wrong if my client and I cut a few shapes on the gym floor at 7am, we all love a boogie right? And it isn't going to kill anyone if we gossip about their hot date or their partying antics.... Then, rest period is over and it's back to lifting those weights again!

All my clients get the full knowledge lowdown on why they are doing certain exercises or repetitions and which muscles they are working. They love swotting up so they can show off in front of their friends & work colleagues; and they laugh at the fact I have to constantly remind them to engage their core, keep their abs tight and their back straight!

We are called personal trainers for a reason. It's our job to make our clients enjoy the gym, and not feel that it's a chore! And who says that a few laughs means they won't get results, my client dropped a dress size in under 4 weeks!

So, thats why my clients call me Pain Princess.

Pain because my clients feel like "car crash victims" (their words, not mine) the day after my sessions. Princess because I provide some great laughs and love a natter.
